The Windham is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and as a residential community, there are no scheduled visiting hours. Visitors and families are welcome to come and go as they please. However, to ensure the safety of our community, all visitors, including vendors, are required to sign in at the front desk.

The Windham offers private-pay rental apartments starting at $2,865. Terms are month-to-month, and no “buy-in” fee is required. Residents pay a monthly rental rate that includes dining, events, housekeeping and linen services, apartment and community maintenance, most utilities and scheduled transportation. For residents in Assisted Living, there is an additional monthly charge for care services, based on the nature of the services and the time required to perform them.

The Windham is a smoke-free community.

Yes! The Windham is an active and fun pet-friendly community with its own dog park. Dogs must be approved by the Executive Director, who determines acceptable pet residency. For the safety and comfort of all residents and guests, residents are responsible for their pets at all times and must adhere to the community pet policy.

Our nurse assesses each resident’s care needs to create a personalized service plan that determines their level of care. Assessments are done prior to move-in, 30 days after move-in and as needed to ensure everyone receives as much or as little care as they need.

Some of our residents in Assisted Living simply require help managing medications, while others need various levels of care. We can assist our residents with their Activities of Daily Living such as showering, dressing, grooming and even escorts to dining and activities. Each resident has a personalized service plan that is updated regularly to meet changing needs.

  • 30 to 90 meals per month, per person depending upon the apartment. Enjoy the variety and service of stellar culinary restaurant-style dining room. Plus, anytime snacks and coffee.
  • Full kitchens in all apartments.
  • Weekly housekeeping, linen, and personal laundry services.
  • Scheduled transportation for shopping, appointments and special outings around town.
  • Full, private in-suite bathrooms.
  • Fitness Center access with a variety of exercise classes to improve your health, strength, balance, mood and overall well-being.
  • Extended basic cable and all your utilities, so there are no surprise heating or cooling bills. Telephone is not included.
  • Heated pool.
  • Pet friendly.
  • Private outdoor patio or balcony to enjoy your own outdoor space.

Never pay a repair bill again. We take care of all maintenance and upkeep, so if something breaks, leaks or requires attention, just call and we fix it.

The Windham offers these lifestyle choices: Independent living and assisted living.

In Independent Living, you can choose a studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartment, some with two baths. We also offer detached, standalone cottages with full kitchens, which are perfect for married couples and are highly popular and in demand.

In assisted living, you can choose from studio, one or two bedroom options. Cottages are available for independent living residents only.

The Windham offers a rich calendar of opportunities for learning, creativity, exercise and spirituality every month. Every event is designed to keep the mind, body, heart and spirit engaged. From concerts and guest lectures to theater and exercise, games and classes, services and celebrations, civic and volunteer opportunities, shopping and museums, movies and dances, and much more, you can remain as active and involved as you like.

MUSIC: Music is a big part of our culture. Our informal singing group gets together weekly to perform, plus we hold karaoke parties and bring in special musical guests. Anyone is invited to join! Invite your friends.

ARTISTIC PURSUITS: You can pursue your creative side with weekly arts classes. Learn watercolors, oils, origami, collage and crafting of all kinds.

BOOK CLUB: The Windham sponsors a book club that meets regularly for discussion. It is open to residents and anyone in the nearby community.

COOKING CLASSES: We’re a “foodie community” and delight in offering cooking classes for those want to explore the culinary arts.

INTELLECTUAL PROGRAMING: Programing at The Windham covers a wide variety of subjects, including leading-edge medical topics, the latest technology, holistic health and brain fitness. Plus, as a sponsor of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at California State University, Fresno, Windham makes it easy for residents to indulge in a rich array of workshops, short courses, and field trips that are of interest to them. Plus, we offer transportation to and from OLLI event during fall and spring semesters

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS: We encourage people to pursue their passions and inspire others with their special gifts, whatever they may be.

Amenities bloom throughout our 10-acre campus. We believe health and fitness shouldn’t be separate from the rest of life but naturally woven into it. At The Windham, we make it easy to stick to your wellness goals with healthy menu options, engaging fitness classes and inviting courtyards that you’ll love to stroll with companions or your four-legged friend.

HEATED SWIMMING POOL: Enjoy water aerobics classes, as well as open-pool hours for lap swimming, or just sunbathing.

WALKING PATHS: Throughout the 10-acre campus, enjoy walking paths with vistas of flowers, sequoia tree, nature and wide-open spaces.

FITNESS CENTER: Everything is here. From fitness equipment to studio classes, our curriculum is designed to accommodate all levels of fitness and physical abilities. We’ll take the time to show you how to exercise correctly, so you can keep doing what you love most, and perhaps even regain some of the motion, strength, stability, energy and flexibility you thought was lost.

DOG PARK: We’re pet-friendly in more ways than one. Our amenities make it easy to take your best friend for a walk or a quick potty break.

Beautiful neighborhood: Located in one of best neighborhoods in Fresno, the area is perfect of long walks along tree-lined streets.

Indoor-outdoor campus: The architectural design of the Windham is a natural mix of open-air common areas, shaded walkways, and mature landscaping. It the perfect flow to enjoy our wonderful Fresno weather.
